The Chair guided the committee through the draft Terms of Reference.
Discussion took place with regard to offering specified hours of availability for the Facebook page contact information. It was noted that it may be preferable to simply say that the ECAAC Facebook page would be monitored 'regularly'.
The Committee discussed appropriate 'Liking' of pages. It was noted that the ECAAC page would 'Like' official pages of known organizations (such as AODA or Community Living etc.) and discuss the more ambiguous articles or groups to 'Like' before committing to that. It was noted Facebook uses the 'Like' feature to network people and groups as well as for target advertising.
The Committee discussed appropriate topics to post and specified areas of focus for periods of time, such as highlighting an organization each month and outlining articles that pertain to their mantra.
Ms. Trombley indicated that the adopted Facebook Terms of Reference would be posted and pinned to the ECAAC Facebook page for ease of access.
