  • Recommendation:

    That the Warden and Clerk be authorized to enter into a 20 year lease agreement, with an annual rental fee of $1.00 per municipality per year, with the Towns of Essex, Lakeshore, LaSalle and Tecumseh for the use of a portion of the closed Landfill #3 property, in order for those municipalities to collaboratively operate a dog pound for their own purposes.

  • That Essex County Council increase the per diem rate for Housing with Supports contracted service providers, in keeping with the increase approved by the City of Windsor by Resolution CR235/2018, such that the increase in cost does not exceed the CHPI funding allocation and the County’s budgeted contribution to the program.

  • Recommendation:

    That County Council  approve the creation a Compliance Supervisor position in the Financial Services Department to support corporate procurement and related risk mitigation activities and further, authorize the development of a recruitment strategy to fill the new position. 

Report Number 2018-0516-IS-R014-TRB, dated May 16, 2018 from Tom Bateman, Director of Infrastructure Services/County Engineer.

  • Recommendation:

    That the tender for the CWATS Active Transportation Pathway on County Road 20 be awarded to Pierascenzi Construction Ltd. for a total tender amount of $455,967.50 plus H.S.T.

Report Number 2018-0516-IS-R05-TRB, dated May 16, 2018 from Tom Bateman, Director of Infrastructure Services/County Engineer.

  • Recommendation:

    It is recommended that By-law #25-2018 be adopted to authorize the Warden and Clerk to execute an agreement with Dillon Consulting Ltd. for the provision of Contract Administration / On Site Services for Phase 6A of the County Road 22 Capacity and Safety Improvement Program.

    It is recommended that the tender for the construction of Phase 6A of the County Road 22 Capacity and Safety Improvement Program be awarded as follows:

    Project No. 13107-590 County Road 22 – Phase 6A to Amico Infrastructures Inc. for a Total Tender Amount of $4,658,300.00 plus H.S.T.

That County Administration be directed to prepare a letter to the Premier of Ontario, Kathleen Wynne and the Minister of Health and Long Term Care, Dr. Helena Jaczek, on behalf of County Council, reaffirming County Council’s support for the location selected for the new Regional Acute Care Hospital, and requesting the City of Windsor Council to also reaffirm their support for the selected location.

  • Recommendation:

    That By-laws 24-2018 through 26-2018, having been read a first, second and third time, be finally passed and enacted. 

A By-law to Enter into a Lease Agreement with the Towns of Essex, Lakeshore, LaSalle and Tecumseh for the Dog Pound Facility at Closed Landfill No. 3.

A By-law to Authorize the Execution of a Professional Engineering Services Agreement between Dillon Consulting Ltd. and The Corporation of the County of Essex.
